this time we are hiking in the Black Forest again and have walked the Bannwald Tour, one of the Baiersbronner Himmelswege. From around mid-March, the closures on the tour will be removed again. This allowed us to go back to the Wildsee and the great path to the Darmstädter Hütte. This tour is one of the most beautiful paths that we have walked in the Black Forest so far, it is a pleasure path and one of the Baiersbronner Himmelswege. Very varied and natural paths, some very steep, alpine and rocky paths, just wonderful. Tour Dates: Tour length: 13.2 km Ascent 459 m Highest point: 1041 m Walking time: 4 hours Surefootedness: ⚫️⚫️⚫️⚪ Difficulty: ⚫️⚫️⚫️⚪️ Experience points: ⚫⚫⚫️⚫️ Suitability for prams: no, but great for slightly older children Best regards Simone and Werner one of the most beautiful hiking trails I know in the Black Forest https://youtu.be/r3bPnrYfyfI

Circular hike in the "Baiersbronn Wanderhimmel" in borderline weather. In connection with a motorcycle tour, I went hiking in the Black Forest National Park. I parked in the public forest parking lot at the forester's house Auerhahn. From there it goes down a few steps and then over a steep path in the forest up to the Brandhütte. From there past the Pommertsbrunnen to the Seibelseckle, where there is a rest area on the B500, a hut for refreshment and a ski lift in winter. To the right of the ski lift hill it goes steadily uphill, past another refuge with a barbecue area, connected with beautiful views of the Rhine plain up to the Gaiskopf. In addition to an informative telescope, there is also a memorial stone for storm Lothar. The Gaiskopf, with an altitude of 1,049 meters, is the “turning point” of the tour, from here it goes downhill again. Past the Darmstädter Hütte (hosted), it first goes around a bit, then later through the 100-year-old forest. In the forest there is a right path to the "Wildsee viewpoint". First you can look down on the Wildsee from here, and then later go down to it via a very steep path. The lake itself may not be circumnavigated for nature conservation reasons. Bathing is also forbidden to protect the flora and fauna! From the Wildsee there is another small ascent, then it goes over forest roads and forest paths back to the forester's house Auerhahn. All in all, it is a 15km walk with great views and dense forests.
A wonderful, varied and entertaining route. We are on wide paths, narrow, rocky, rooty, wet and dry paths. I am really impressed ☺️.....
I started at the hiking car park behind the Hotel Auernhahn. At first it's a gentle uphill walk, then there are steep paths up to the former Falzhütte with a height difference of around 300 metres 🥵 I was sweating in this weather today. Continue on to the beautiful Wildsee 🤩 where I was besieged by ducks 🦆🦆🦆 who wanted something to eat 😅 The further steep path through the cirque wall to the Wildseewegle is also not easy. At the top I made a short detour to the Eutinggrab and enjoyed the view. Continue past the Darmstädter Hütte to enjoy the wonderful view of the Rhine plain shortly afterwards, but today the dark ☁️ put a stop to my plans 🤷♀️ . Continue on to Seibelseck and Brandhütte, hoping that the weather holds. From the Brandhütte we went down great forest paths 🌲 into the Langenbachtal to the game reserve 🦌 and then on to the Hotel Auernhahn. My 🚙 was standing there all alone at the hiking car park. Such a beautiful tour and yet hardly met any other hikers along the way 🤔
A fantastic tour through the mystical Black Forest, especially the fog, which really added to the experience 😍🥰 Highly recommended and worth seeing
Very nice tour from the forest car park forester's house Auerhahn over the Darmstädter Hütte to the Wildsee. Partly difficult terrain, surefootedness should be available!
This morning I decided at short notice to go hiking again. I found this 13.22 km tour on the internet, which you could even start at Seibelseckle. https://www.schwarzwald-tourismus.info/touren/baiersbronner-himmelsweg-bannwald-tour-cff070e847 Accordingly, I didn't get to the top until around 10 a.m. But the weather deterred some hikers. The parking lot was still relatively empty. But it was cold and very windy. The signage also left a lot to be desired. I first had to find the green deer from the tour. The map at Seibelseckle wasn't helpful. First we went along a wide path towards the Brandhütte. Me again, just looked at the hut and just kept walking. ... So I went back and looked for the sign. ;) It was only a small path that was easy to miss if you (woman) only looked towards the hut. From here the path became more interesting. The descent was steep in places and over hill and dale. At the Kesselbach you can decide whether you want to walk 800 m or 1 km to the Auerhahn forester's house (Hinterlangenbach). I chose the longer route, which is also the nicer route. After the forester's house it was a steady climb. The path to the Wildsee first went up, then down and up again. The ascent towards the Darmstädter hut becomes more and more adventurous. The path is increasingly washed out, and the fallen trees are still there. Here you have to be very sure-footed and good on foot. Once you get to the top, the paths became wider and easier to walk. On one section of the path to Seibelseckle I chose a hiking trail that was not well signposted, but is not used by mountain bikers.
