It gets wild on this tour - you hike over rooted paths, through dense forests and to the fantastically situated Wildsee. The path runs mostly along the Westweg and offers you the complete Black Forest program - including beautiful views over the Rhine plain to the Vosges.
The starting point of the 14-kilometer round is in Hinterlangenbach. Right at the beginning it goes through the forest uphill. Soon you have already reached the Wildsee - an almost round cirque lake, bordered by tall Black Forest firs. The atmosphere on the shore of the dark lake is unique, especially on foggy autumn days. It is worth making the small detour to the Seekopf, from here you have the most beautiful view of the Wildsee.
After a stop at the Darmstädter Hütte, we continue with great views. The path leads you parallel to the Schwarzwaldhochstraße for a while, before you turn right shortly after Seibelseckle and hike back to the starting point on narrow paths.
