Trail Reviews

Gravel Bike Mania | by Luigi Ciccarone
August 31, 2022, Alla scoperta della selvaggia Valle Agarina

✏️ The Agarina Valley is still almost unknown from the cycling point of view. Extremely wild, it is one of the side valleys of the Ossola Valley and our route starts from the Ossola Outdoor Center car park in Crevoladossola. There are many characteristic hamlets and the last part also offers a short tunnel dug into the rock, but totally dark. Almost no traffic once the climb has begun. Bumpy surface even if asphalted, some short dirt sections in the final part, but pedaled with the Gravel. Those who wish can descend for a few hundred meters from the point of arrival of this track to the shores of the small artificial lake. However, the route is bumpy and is only recommended for e-MTBs in relation to the ascent. Given the wild nature of the Agarina Valley and the little or no connection to the cellular network, it is recommended to tackle it at least in pairs. 😉
