Great outing today in the mountains with my partner Juanjo. Temperature a little cool at altitude (5 degrees) but overall great for cycling.
Great outing in spectacular nature but physically not easy. It’s climbing 😁. I deserved my🍻
58/2024 Gravel bike✅️ Spectacular route with my group mate Emilio Romero and my nephew Ximo Puig. The activity has two very different parts. The one that goes from the beginning in the swamp to Fredes and from there, to the starting point. There are practically 40 km of track with steep climbs and slopes in the first two thirds and 20 km of downhill road at the end. The route begins at the Ulldecona reservoir dam, heading towards Els Ports. At the beginning, although constant, the climb is not very steep but after km 10 it becomes quite steep with steep ramps of 15% although the track, except at very certain points, is good and easy to navigate. Views and surroundings that do not disappoint at any time, with hard times but with the reward of the environment. Once at the top, we continue with a constant up and down until the Font Ferrera refuge, where we made a stop to recharge our batteries. From this to Fredes there are 12 km of good track with continuous slopes and a final descent on the track to the town, located 37 km from the exit and after overcoming 1,350 meters of positive slope. From this, we have several options to return, we chose the old road from Boixar to Fredes to connect with the CV-105 highway and along this, to the final point of the route at the reservoir dam. Totally recommended, spectacular natural environment, even wild at some point. It is a route to enjoy and take it easy. If you can, don't stop doing it.
Thank you Manuel Sorigo for sharing this route. Champion
A bike ride with a lot of climbing at the beginning, but at 12 km it really starts with the climbing.. at the end of the ride 13 km descent on asphalt.
