This route was planned by komoot.
Note: Correct height difference about 850 m. I don't know why it puts over 1200.
This is a route that is particularly close to my heart, because it was one of the first treks I did, making me passionate about the magic of the mountains. Sometimes it takes very little effort to feel happy and peaceful. The Salarno valley, which is part of the Adamello park, is beautiful in all seasons, but my advice is to go there around mid-June, when you can find the rhododendrons in flower. The route to Rifugio Prudenzini is long but easy. You are always accompanied by water: the clear Poia stream with its waterfalls at the beginning, then arriving at Lake Salarno and Dossaccio. The refuge is at 2,235 m, the climate is perfect in summer, you will find large meadows to rest, surrounded by jagged peaks and frozen streams that flow in the middle where taking a regenerating foot bath is a must.
Strava 802 m. Difference in altitude The program was different.....but the forecast....then under a small snowfall that increases and will accompany us for 4 hours, we reach the r.Pizzini small stop for the cold and we return to the car, the last hour the weather changes and gives us a Badile Camuno on fire. As always excellent the group.
I had been thinking about doing this hike for a while, I wanted to see this beautiful snowy valley and the peaks that surround it completely white then that intense blue sky... I only needed crampons and gaiters I struggled enough on the way there.. more on the way back the snow was too soft for the heat and you sank a lot Never mind I had taken it into account!! Have a good hike 🌞
