Cottesbrooke Hall and Gardens

Highlight • Historical Site

Built around 1702, a great example of Queen Anne architecture. Supposedly the inspiration for Jane Austen's Mansfield Park, the house and grounds are well worth stopping by. The award winning gardens in particular are spectacular.

Althorp House

Highlight • Historical Site

Althorp is a stunning Grade-1 listed stately home that has belonged to the Spencer family for more than 500 years. Lady Diana Spencer lived here before marrying Prince Charles. The house dates back to the end of the 17th century when a redbrick Tudor castle would have stood here. The house you see today was built at the end of the 18th century by architect Henry Holland. The grand entrance hall was considered to be one of the noblest Georgian rooms in the UK at the time.

Princess Diana was interred on the grounds and there is a memorial to her. You can visit the house and grounds, and learn more about this fascinating family. Tickets for adults cost £20. For more information, see: spencerofalthorp.com
