Fantastic views. A beautiful route. With an eBike, a 750Wh battery is required for the 83km and 1120m elevation gain.
The climb from the lake to Palanzo and the one from Onno to Valbrona are not particularly long or tiring, ideal for starting to get back into shape after a winter with few opportunities to pedal.
We did it, against all my intentions, in a clockwise direction, to immediately face the initial ups and downs, leaving the ascent from Onno for the last to enjoy a good coffee at the bar in Valbrona. I wanted to continue, when we were on the lake, to Valmadrera, but the others objected, considering it horrible as a landscape. I think they were right. Medium low pace because I am a total slap on the climb. But that's just fine for me.
Today Bellagio is on the agenda. In Canzo we take a short break in front of a church. The route to Osigo is not steep but constantly uphill. The sun is burning.☀️☀️ The descent towards the lake is all the more awesome. From here the route leads along the asphalt roads by the lake to Bellagio. Here we are the only ones with bicycles. It is almost embarrassing to push the bicycles between the people. The city is overcrowded. Tourists are brought here in droves from all sides by ferries, ships, boats and taxis. A real invasion. The old town with its many narrow streets with stairs is very interesting. The prices too😉After a walk along the lake promenade we continue. The route leads more or less along the lake to Como. We always have the lake in sight. However, access is blocked almost everywhere by private property. A spontaneous swim in the lake is not possible. What a pity. From Como we follow the already familiar route to the campsite. By the way: We didn’t see George Clooney😉
