This route was planned by komoot.
Loop from Trezzo to Brivio along the east bank of the Adda and back on the west bank. Technical single tracks and stretches of portage both uphill and downhill. Not for all.
Today, not knowing exactly what the opposite bank of the river was like, I decided to ride it, and I'm thrilled. For those who like challenging singletrack (and this one truly is), it's basically a unique singletrack, but quite challenging, and where it's not, there are nettles, thorns, etc., but it was truly spectacular. The Medolano beach is a small oasis in the middle of the woods. Then I stopped taking photos to dedicate myself entirely to the ride, and on the way back I already had yesterday's photos. Very beautiful. Of course, in some places it was tough trying to make my way through branches and nettles, and also some portage.
Outward towpath on the Milanese side, return along the paths on the Bergamo side 🤩🤩
Classic ride but always beautiful. Technical and very steep sections with even a bit of portage on the east bank. Some fallen trees complicate things..photo 1 blocked path. The return to the west bank presents no difficulties other than a steep climb and subsequent descent. The variant in the woods is beautiful and not particularly difficult, returning to the cycle path near Leonardo's Adda ecomuseum.
Nightmare ride !!! The first part up to the Brivio bridge was beautiful, but once the way back started it was an ordeal, it is true that the routes were marked in s1, but practically impassable, I spent more time pushing the bike than pedaling😬😬😬
Tour that develops on the Adda Lecco side and Bergamo side, the latter clearly more fun. Undoubtedly the most beautiful stretch is between Trezzo and Calusco, but be careful that after the rain of these days it is muddy, leafy, rooty and therefore at times you have to be careful because you could risk falling into the river. I then recommend doing this stretch in the reverse direction Calusco-Trezzo. In between, a passage through the beautiful industrial village of Crespi d'Adda, and then a few kilometers on the Brembo. Look at the passage over the landslide in photo 11
The Adda cycle path is well known, however I want to enhance once again, in addition to the beauty of the landscapes, the skill of those who have filled this route with culture, with signs, museums, stories told at every bend. It is really difficult to limit yourself to 'pedaling' without continuously getting involved with the ancient Celts, Romans, Venetians and Milanese, merchants and religious, engineers and artists who have made this river and its cycle path a true 'Eco-museum'
Today with Martino and Tommaso along the Adda from Brivio to Trezzo and back putting in the legs the various "walls" that go up the Lecco and Milanese banks of the river ... what can I say? Blessed youth 😂😂😂
