Weekend trip to the Ammerland. The Barßeler Hafen tour caught our eye and so we cycled it. A nice tour with little traffic.
A very varied route and something of everything that the Ammerland has to offer. It goes through forest, pastures, various moors along some beautiful watercourses and lakes and the Ebkensche Mühle in Barßel, which is well worth seeing. The destination is the village of Barßel, an old fishing and shepherd's village that was transformed into a peat-growing village during the Oldenburg raids in the 16th century and had to be attached to the fen system. Highlights: - Lake "Drakamp Schlatt": On the edge of the Godensholter Tief nature reserve is the approximately two hectare Drakamp-Schlatt, which was created in a blow-out trough and is designated as a natural monument. -The Ebkensche Mühle is a three-story gallery Dutchman with a wind rose from 1892. The mill has three grinding gears, two for grinding and one for flour production. -Barssel harbour: After the Soeste was straightened and diked in the mid-1950s, the part of Barßel close to the river changed. However, the town lives up to its character as a seaman's village because a new harbor for sports boats was built on the western bank of the Soeste in the 1970s. From here, the Soeste can be explored on board the "MS Spitzhörn".
The Barßeler Route A wonderful bike tour through the Ammerland past tree nurseries and huge nurseries, reed houses and romantically situated farms! The area is like a huge park landscape! It invites you to discover, admire and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! Highly recommended!
A slight modification of the Barßeler Hafen route. The actual harbor is on the tour and you don't pass it directly, but you can make a detour. After the port, the tour deviates from the original route in order to cycle a little longer along the Barßeler Tief and along the Jümme.
On Ascension Day by bike in Ammerland. There was a 10 km long flea market between Elisabethfehn-Dreibrücken and Kamperfehn. That's why we turned right at the canal, it was quiet and relaxed to cycle there. - The pictures are from my wife Bärbel because I filmed them.
Of course the whole route is driven, I started the recording too late.
Parts of the route were already checked last week.
