Barranco de la Viuda

Highlight (Segment) • Gorge

A very picturesque route without technical difficulty, although it is recommended to wear suitable footwear to be able to travel without problems. If you want to get to the coves, avoid being heavily loaded or pushing a car, as you will end up carrying it on your shoulder and it will not be comfortable at all.

La Cova dels Arcs, as well as being a magical corner to watch a sunrise, take pictures or practice snorkeling (in the “dels Immersionistes” room, the one with easy access), has an area for expert speleologists capable of delving into which is considered the outlet to the sea of the longest groundwater course in Spain. It is located next to Cala del Moraig.

What a beautiful (and for me challenging) route. Please remember to wear sturdy shoes and bring food, you will be rewarded with beautiful and picturesque paths.

Once you've reached the sea through the rocky passage and the coastal path via the steep rock steps, you'll be rewarded with fantastic views and spectacular stretches of trail. I chose the route back through Moreira because I prefer circular walks. It's also worth checking out the villas up there.
