The Steinperfer Runde impresses with its peace and seclusion. Paths lead through varied forest sections and along lush wild herb meadows and gently gurgling streams.
Magnificent views invite hikers to take long breaks again and again. The landscape is reminiscent of the foothills of the Alps with lush green meadows…

Together with my better half again a little moved. Direct. Started in Steinperf and down through forest and meadow. A really very varied route with all surfaces and various "branched" situations. Rounded the Bolzeberg, on to Holzhausen. Then continue in the direction of Hilsberg and the highlight "Schwarzer Stein". At 2-3 places the path was still blocked by wind breaks, but these places can be avoided relatively easily. All in all a beautiful round, with some trails and various panoramic views. Highly recommended extra tour...👍
Steinperf is located on the Bottenhorn plateau in the Lahn-Dill mountains. The small town, which belongs to the municipality of Steffenberg, is mainly known in the surrounding area for its pretty half-timbered chapel. This attractive circular hike starts at the hiking hut of the Upper Hessian Mountain Association (OHGV), which can be reached via the Eilohstraße. From the hiking hostel of the OHGV, which is also managed on weekends, you first walk south. The Steinperfer Runde leads to just before a picturesque quarry lake, which is a nature reserve and on whose turquoise-blue water you can take a nice little break. The Steinperfer Runde now bends eastwards and leads up to the Kreuzberg (524m). From here you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Bottenhorn plateau and the small village of Bottenhorn in the midst of a beautiful heathland. In the further course you pass the small country road that leads from Breidenbach via Steinperf and Bottenhorn to Bad Endbach. It continues on the Steinperfer Runde until shortly before Holzhausen am Hünstein, which is already in the Dautphetal. From the summit of the Schweinsberg you have a beautiful view of the picturesque village on the edge of the Damshäuser hills. Now the Steinperfer Runde turns north into the Bolzebachtal, which stretches along the northern slope of the Bolzeberg (520m) and provides several small ponds with the necessary fresh water. At the level of Obereisenhausen, it then goes south again past the Hubertusquelle, a lovingly designed forest spring where you can strengthen yourself with fresh spring water with a clear conscience. A varied route that is always worth running.
18°-20° sunshine and light wind, perfect hiking weather for this varied tour
One of my most beautiful hikes here in the region... pure nature and tranquillity.
Extra tour of the Lahn-Dill-Berglandpfad with beautiful views, impressions and many different types of mushrooms
Today the "Steinperfer Runde". We recommend.
Beautiful, well signposted path that offers beautiful beech forests and beautiful views. Pleasant length and enough seating to take a break from time to time.
