Panoramaweg Aartalsee, but often without panorama 🙂
Today, when the weather was nice, we went to the Aartalsee to walk the panorama trail. Not a bad trail, but not my favorite of the extra tours either. Unfortunately, the official starting point is a paid parking lot. Therefore, we drove to Roßbach and parked the car in the cemetery parking lot adjacent to the hiking trail. This trail is pleasant to hike, gently rolling, with beautiful forest paths and well-defined meadow trails, plenty of rest areas, and excellent signage. The name "Panorama Trail" is fitting; the path along the Aartalsee lake is very popular.
A very nice path, easy to walk, with a few uphill and downhill sections here and there, but it wasn't a problem! One positive thing to note is that everywhere we went through fields or meadows, the grass was mown 👍👍 Not suitable for strollers, as there are some narrow paths and one section where it's steeply downhill, which isn't the best route :-)
The tour offers very beautiful vantage points with good views. The path from the old oak tree in Roßbach to the raised tank (or the other way around) has suffered greatly due to forestry work. The signs have been replaced by red and white tape☝🏻Pictures 23/24
Today we walked an extra tour of the Lahn-Dill Berglandpfad, the Aartalsee Panoramaweg. Once again a route that inspired us. We jokingly said that this is the path of the old oak trees, because it feels like you pass a very old or very thick oak tree every few meters. Some are really impressive. This path also has many places with fantastic views that you can enjoy. Overall, the route is varied and easy to walk. We had fun again and we can recommend the route, it is also very well signposted.
Park in the Ahrdt hiking car park (free of charge). From here you can reach the hiking trail in 5 minutes.
