- Through History with Devotion - Day 4 (Thursday) In the morning, with pleasantly mild, occasionally sunny, windy, cool, and slightly rainy 13-14°C, there's hardly anything going on at Gangolfsberg (736 m above sea level). A nature trail with a detour to the Teufelskeller (Devil's Cellar) and the moderately difficult path via the Old Quarry and back to the starting point. (border in the afternoon: https://www.komoot.com/de-de/tour/2299438689)
In addition to the hike with the prisms, the tour offers very beautiful jungle with its great tree mushrooms
Today a little round around and over the Gangolfsberg. It went past the Teufelskeller, the basalt prism wall and the ruins of the Gangolf Chapel. The weather today was unfortunately only so-so but at least dry from above, even if the ground was very wet and slippery. A nice tour with a few meters of altitude to get your pulse racing. ;-)
At the "summit" snow flurry ❄️ and 2000m (hehe) lower then nothing more 😉
Started at the Wanderprkplatz at the Schweinfurt house. It's very nice, but in a nutshell, it's exhausting, the snow and mud make it even more slippery than usual. It was relatively busy today, nice weather, snow. We walked along the nature trail: basalt prism wall, Teufelskeller, Gangolf chapel (ruin), old quarry .. And the nature here is simply beautiful in every season.
- Pine wood figure - Basalt prism wall - Basalt path - Teufelskeller - Nature trail - Resting place - Chapel ruin St. Gangolf - Gangolfsberg 736m - Basalt block field - Old basalt quarry
