Having arrived at the Brocken, we hiked down the mountain to Torfhaus, and from there took the bus to Altenau. It was very unpleasant on the Brocken today, wind, snow, and no visibility, but it was still beautiful. The descent then took place in sunshine with a brief snow shower in between.
Hiking in glorious weather ☀️on the roof of the Harz Mountains 👍
From the peat house to the highest mountain in the north and back. Wonderfully beautiful and somehow bizarre all the crunchy spruces to the left and right of the path. The junior was able to dust off two HWN (136, 009) again today.
Started at 6 a.m. at the Torfhaus, it went through the path, which was easily recognizable by the waning moon and the snow, at -10 degrees on the Brocken, it was a super clear foresight, at the top it was freezing cold due to the wind, but it was worth it 😄
Today was the annual Brocken hike. We set off quite early and were amazed at how empty the path can be. From Brockenstrasse more people came, and further up it was like the train station... 😉
Nice easy hiking trail. Unfortunately the weather didn't play along, it rained all the time
Once again I was up there punctually at 8:18 a.m. for the Brocken breakfast. 😊❄️
This morning I spontaneously grabbed my little Tajan and stomped on the Brocken with him. The only right decision! What was presented to the eye today was indeed unsurpassed. This hike was one of the best actions I've ever done in my life. Goose bumps upon goose bumps. The whole body. That was almost overkill for an eye person like me. I was struggling to get all this beauty in my head. And all this in memory of my beloved Louis, Tajan's dad, who would have turned 13 today if he hadn't unfortunately died almost exactly 2.5 years ago. There are days in life that are mystical. Everything just fits! Today was such a day! This day was a gift for me! Thanks! 👋
