The little trip was worth it. After not being here for a long time, it's still the same paths. 😊 Trees and heather have grown noticeably. 😉 I really like the many new information boards, which even encourage adults to read up and try things out.
Today I drove to the power station to get the company car. On the way home I stopped at the Lieberoser Heide, this was a former Soviet military training area, I wanted to go hiking there. But I couldn't go any further than 2 km, as the area is still closed, still contaminated with ammunition and hasn't been cleared, which is a shame. The old command post was built in 1970 for a Warsaw Pact maneuver with 50,000 men. That's why the Russians called it the Warsaw Heights. In addition to the generals, Brezhnev, Ulbricht and Honecker are said to have watched from there.
Short detour into the Lieberoser Heide (at least where you are allowed to walk).
