On this hike, pure nature awaits you, simply and overwhelmingly. You start in beautiful Heppenbach, not far from the source of the Amel. On your way you touch the two tiny towns of Möderscheid and Hepscheid, otherwise you are only out and about in the untouched nature of the Belgian Eifel. Pack some provisions, with a length of almost 15 kilometers this is an extensive tour. It's always either slightly uphill or downhill. You certainly won't get bored here.
Shortly before Möderscheid you hike on a narrow path that takes you up to the village. Long fences and yards clinging to the hillside draw a landscape almost reminiscent of Scotland. Here you can live well and hike at least as well. After a longer stretch along the edge of the forest, where the sparrows whistle and you can meet a fox at dawn, you finally reach the picturesque Hepscheid. On the outskirts you will find an unusual place to rest in a huge wooden barrel. From here it is not far back to the starting point in Heppenbach, where you can stop off comfortably after completing the tour.

The hike does not offer any spectacular highlights, but it is ideal for letting the fresh autumn wind blow through the solitude of the Belgian Eifel. Since the tour leads almost exclusively over well-developed forest and farm roads, it is certainly also recommended for a beautiful, clear winter day.
A nice hike a mixture of road and forest trails but with two steep inclines when arriving at a waterworks, the tour can be extended to 16 km so lots of fun.
