Not the Harz today 😀 today it was time for third-party stamping with the Touringer stamp booklet. The start was the parking lot at Possen. The animal enclosures are always very beautiful. The former bear enclosure, however, is very creepy and sad 😢 🐻 when you see how the animals were kept here. The round was again very nice even if the weather wasn't the best. Whether with family, with or without children or just a hiking tour, super nice 👍
Very nice hike on the jungle path around the Possen, relatively good visibility, a bit of hustle and bustle on the Possen but otherwise wonderful peace and quiet. About half the route is on gravel forest paths, the other half is beautiful forest hiking trails with a jungle feel. The mushroom finds would have been enough for the LAST mushroom meal. There weren't any right ones for the second to last! 😄😇😄
The Possen primeval forest trail explores the Hainleite, a 463-meter-high ridge above Sondershausen. The protected forest area, which is dominated primarily by beech trees, is expected to develop into a "primeval forest of tomorrow" in the long term. The somewhat monotonous passages on wide forest paths through the forest, for my taste, are balanced out by beautiful narrow paths and the incredible view of Sondershausen from the Rondel and the Spatenberg tower.
Today we headed north again. Sondershausen and the Possen local recreation area there were the destination. The Touringentour Urwaldpfad Possen with its 3 stamp points wanted to be hiked. The start was directly at the spacious parking lot on the Possen. First we walked 2 km along a wide, firmly gravel path, slightly descending through the Spieretal. A moderately ascending path then led up to the Spatenberg Tower, the first stamping point. Unfortunately, the tower was locked, but a sign indicated that a key was deposited at the nearby forestry office. Then a short but sharp climb towards Princessenblick (2nd stamp point). Here the path actually had a jungle feel and the view of Sondershausen is really worth it. You can then walk in a relaxed manner all the way back to the antics. The Possen offers an animal enclosure, a fairly large climbing forest, playgrounds and restaurants. However, it was closed (almost as expected) on an autumnal Tuesday. Since we still wanted to collect the double stamp 101 at the Sondershausen market anyway, we stopped at the nearby Café Pille. Clear recommendation 👍👍👍. We were thrilled by the seasoned meat and the delicious pieces of cake. Why Komoot didn't save the picture together with the picture of the castle at the end of the photo series 🤔? No idea.
A beautiful autumn tour near Sondershausen...😊 We started from the Possen leisure and adventure park.
A round of stamping during the lunch break in the most beautiful slush and fog. I haven't met anyone. 😅
