It was that time again... a friend's bike tour and trip to another region, more precisely in Kraichgau, Zabergäu and through the Stromberg Nature Park - Heuchelberg in the Heilbronn region. Along Katzenbach, Leinbach, Zaber, Himmelsbach and the Ehmetsklinge bathing lake, the motto was: as close to the water as possible 🚲☀️😎... With the temperatures still summery, a large part of the beautiful "KR1 Tour around the Heuchelberg" circuit ran over open terrain. Agricultural fields and wine-growing regions alternated with small and large towns. Due to the heat, our highlight of the day was the Ehmetsklinge bathing lake, which we reached after about 45 km.... Towel with us, of course, it was simply wonderful 😍💦🤗 this refreshing cool down, straight into the cool water 💦😍, it felt so good 🥳👍! Right on the lake, there's also the "Wirtshaus am See," a restaurant with a beer garden where you can enjoy small snacks like fries, currywurst, ice cream, and various soft drinks...
A nice round around the Heuchelberg, however, started in Schwaigern. On the sunny day it was a real pleasure, unfortunately the wine taverns were 🍷🍷 more at the beginning of the tour, so we pinched ourselves, otherwise our legs are too heavy ... but there is still the Lemberg tour ... 🍷🍷. .. is also on the to-do list ...
Beautiful e-bike tour, mostly well signposted, with a great view from the Heuchelberger Warte and a beautiful bathing lake Emetsklinge
Signposted bike tour "KR1" from Frauenzimmern via Ehmetsklinge, Eppingen, Schwaigern, EKS detour to the tour highlight Heuchelbergwarte and Brackenheim. Good paths and many sunny sections.
Take advantage of the nice weather - I thought to myself and started cycling. The tour went around the Heuchelberg based on the KR1. I changed the route slightly because of a few construction sites and so on ... The start and end point was the outdoor pool in Schwaigern. Great tour, just a bit sweaty at 28 ° C. Luckily I had enough water with me👍!
Today a nice tour through the Zabergäu Great tour
Today we were on a bike tour to Brackenheim, which Gerd Geiser had invited me to. Starting from Eppingen north of the Heuchelberg, we made a wide detour via Gemmingen and Schwaigern, taking a quiet route through expansive fields and meadows until the vineyards gradually took over. We had reached the Zabergäu! In bright sunshine, we admired the Heuchelberger Warte from afar at the eastern tip of the Heuchelberg. After Brackenheim, the largest wine-growing community in Württemberg (798 hectares of total vineyard area) and the birthplace of the first German Federal President, Theodor Heuss, we cycled along the Zaber River to Zaberfeld. Magnificent vineyards spread out before us everywhere. In Zaberfeld, we fortified ourselves with coffee and delicious cake. An insider tip was the beautiful view of Ravensburg Castle, as few people know about this vantage point. Back in Eppingen, we enjoyed a relaxing end to this lovely tour by the lake near the train station. Many, many thanks to Gerd, who planned this fantastic tour. It was great!! 🙋♀️
