Our circular tour started from the parking lot on the Black Forest High Road in front of the summer chairlift. Flowing forest paths carried us gently downhill for about 900 meters. Numerous opportunities for beautiful mountain and valley photos prompted us to stop frequently. Crystal-clear views over the Black Forest down into the valleys... we couldn't stop marveling on this glorious summer day. We were having a blast on the route, and our e-MTBs were finally finding their natural calling. The descents became increasingly faster, and the trails were well-maintained. The landscapes changed frequently, and for a long time we rode alongside the many waterfalls of the crystal-clear Murg River, which accompanies us sometimes on the left, sometimes on the right. We passed a lively deer and roe deer pasture. Opportunities for a break were everywhere—an ideal choice for us today. We ended up at the "Konditorei & Cafe Loreen" (right next to the entrance to the State Garden Show) in Baiersbronn for our first longer break. We refueled with homemade lemonade and cakes from the in-house pastry shop. As if we'd known it. Then we continued with a 90° turn out of town, and in front of us the road sloped unnaturally towards the sky. From here, the turbo kicked in for the first time, and with the help of the accumulated calories and our tongues slightly hanging out, we managed the climb that quickly took us from 500 to 850 meters in altitude. The previously flowing course turned into incredibly strenuous hard work; we had absolutely no desire for it... but it was no use :-). Once we reached the high plateau, we worked our way up to 950 meters in altitude over the next 10 km, before whizzing down the final descent – right next to the chairlift – to the parking lot. A wonderful circular tour that we can definitely recommend.
Beautiful cycle path along the Murg and Schönmünz, with a longer ascent to the Seibelseckle. About the hearth stone with strong up and down back to Baiersbronn. After 5 km the Garmin hung up 😠 Old school... once again driven by signs. That's why it's become a few more HM....
Today I was on one of my favorite routes. From Schönmünzach to Baiersbronn and along the Rotmurg up to Ruhestein. Over the Darmstadter Hütte, Seibelseckle down into the Hinterlangenbach valley and back to Schönmünzach.
From Schönmünzach via Baiersbronn up to the Ruhestein and via Seibelseckle back to Schönmünzach.
From Schönmünzach via Baiersbronn up, along the Rotmurg to Ruhestein. Via the Hinterlangenbachtal back to Schönmünzach.
It was cool again, but dry. We liked the section of the route to the Ruhesteinhaus along the Rote Murg, so we did it again. From the Ruhesteinhaus first to the Mummelsee, with a compulsory break due to downpours. Then long downhill and along the Murg back to Tonbach. Barely at the vacation rental and tweeted it.

Trail lovers can turn onto a narrower variant at Hinterlangenbach
