Gravel riding
You cover 1,000 meters in altitude and 38 kilometers on different surfaces on this promising tour. It starts in Tamsweg, from where you ride on a bike path to Sauerfeld. You change to the road to Atzmannsdorf, which you follow to the Schlossberg ruins and turn onto the forest path towards Ötzboden.
In some serpentines you step up the slope, always in the shade of mighty spruce trees. At the remote Überlingmoos you reach the highest point of the gravel tour and then let it roll down to Preberstraße. After almost 19 kilometers, the Preberhof invites you to take a well-deserved break.
Strengthened, we continue to the darkly shimmering Prebersee, on whose shore the Ludlalm lies. A piece of curd cheese strudel gives you new strength and so you continue on forest paths to Lessach-Oberdorf. At the Thurnschall ruins, a last steep climb awaits you before you reach the southern Taurach. The river guides you back to the starting point on a bike path.
