This route was planned by komoot.
I was actually already prepared for a "chill" day today because fog was forecast for today. In the morning, however, it looked as if the weather might still be nice. So we decided to drive to Bernbach, not far from us, to go for a short hike to the Amber Rock. And indeed, the weather got better with every kilometer, so that when we arrived at the Amber Rock we were even treated to a great view. It was well worth it 🤗
No longer recommended. Due to forestry work, the return route from where the kite takes off is closed and will hardly be accessible in the foreseeable future due to the heavy machinery
Repeat act, but in autumn. Always nice round to the amber rock and on to the old hang gliding ramp ... which was unfortunately really slippery today, ... 🙄😳😥 The view was mediocre but it didn't rain
Snow and sunshine what weather, we decided to go on a hike to Bernstein. It wasn't crowded. Even though we have walked this tour many times, today it had its charm again. The crunching of the snow, the views of the valley, the glittering of the crystals in the sun... simply a dream.
A quick after-work stroll with @Achim to Bernstein to enjoy the sun, the view, and a cold drink ☺️
Nice pre-Christmas tour with Moni and Dani to the Bernstein. From Althof we went past the Tannschachhütte to the hang-glider launch ramp and hang-glider meadow with wonderful views over a sea of fog in the Murgtal, only the highest peaks could be seen. Here we took our first break with mulled wine and delicious pastries 😋 We continued along the Mauzenstein to get to the amber. There wasn't much going on, so we could fully enjoy our second break 😋☺️. Here, too, the view was absolutely great 🌞. On the way back we hiked down the steep trail and looked at the relatively newly created memorial to the plane crash of 1945. Another narrow trail, past the Karl-Schwarz-Brunnen (origin of the Michelbach), followed. The last destination was the Tannenwaldhütte (Dowallhitt), which we used for a selfie. We went back to the parking lot on wider paths.
Today there were three of us, Dani and Klaus, on the Bernstein. In between there were cookies, mulled wine and tea. A wonderful little Christmas party ☺️
