Very beautiful, yet many in the woods Nice in this warm weather
Today a well-signposted walking route in the area of Bruges, the Three Castles walking route (https://www.visitwestvlaanderen.be/nl/drie-kastelenwandelroute). Departure from the Tillegembos car park (Wittemolenstraat). A very varied walk through a wooded area. Eye-catchers are of course the three castles: Tilleghem, Tudor and Beisbroek. But there is much more to see.
In Sint-Andries we started, the path lay ready for us, 🚶 A loop through forest and castles, so beautiful and wonderful. 🌳 First Kasteel Tillegem appeared 🏰 strong and true, surrounded by a moat, An echo of the Middle Ages, a timeless stone thing. 🌉 🕊️ At “Onvoltooid” we paused, a place that lingers for a moment, Where what could not be finished is nevertheless written into memory. ✝️ Nearby rises the cross that bears what must never be forgotten, The Cross of the Executed, witness to a dark day. 🇧🇪 A monument that calls for reflection, subdued and clear, Where past and respect meet, year after year. 🙏 The herb garden 🌿 unfolds row by row, With scents, ancient knowledge, and bees buzzing happily. 🐝 Then came Kasteel Tudor 🏰 in warm brick splendor, With English charm and lines, so graceful and thoughtful. 🔭 In Beisbroek, the view opens up to space and the wide cosmos, Where the planet path guides us through the scale of our solar system. 🌌 Here the distance between worlds is made tangible, A learning path where wonder and insight meet. 🪐 Kasteel Beisbroek shines in white and serene earth, With an observatory and center where knowledge is preserved. 🔭 Finally, 👋🏻 two totem poles waved us goodbye and we concluded this walk with a satisfied, wide grin 😁

We have started preparations for the 50 km day trip in Geraardsbergen. 😱😅👩🦯👣
