The Hümerich round trip runs for almost 6 km around the Wachtberg district of Berkum. Highlights include the FKIE radio telescope, views over the Siebengebirge and Rhine Valley, and informative information gabions from the Rhineland Nature Park. Mostly paved paths and near the start/finish line are Café Gilgens and the market barn for refreshments and shopping at local fruit producers.
Combining the useful with the pleasant works well and it is not so bad that the doctor was not open to get a prescription and I still went for a nice walk
