We were invited to friends and used the Saturday to explore the completely unknown and surprisingly beautiful Kohrener Land. Our tour started with a visit to the museum in the well-preserved Gnadstein Castle. An interesting museum worth seeing. Via the Via Porphyria along a beautiful path we go to Kohren Sahlis, where the pottery museum and the pottery fountain lure us. After strengthening yourself with an ice cream, you then return to Gnadstein via the Luther Trail. Since Komoot canceled the hike twice today, it had to be reassembled. Because of this, the average speed is significantly lower than it actually was.
Small family Sunday excursion to Gnandstein Castle. From the castle we walked to Kohren-Sahlis. The route always led along hiking trails or dirt roads. In Kohren-Sahlis there is a small summer toboggan run with absolutely fair prices. We couldn't get past it without trying it. 👍 A small snack bar is also on site, so that there is also an opportunity for those who are hungry or thirsty to recharge their batteries. Afterwards we continued walking through the forest (always along a small stream). Continue along the Schwind Pavilion and a little further up the street to the end of the town. Here across the field (but always on a kind of path) and back to the castle. There's a restaurant in the courtyard. The pot of coffee grinned happily at me ☕ and we ended the hike here. BIG PLUS POINT🙂🙂🙂 Free parking at the foot of the castle.👍👍👍
We still wanted to go to the Schömbach dam, unfortunately Komot led us wrong. Still a nice hike.
