Dino Tour through Rehburg-Loccum

Nice tour with lots of culture and nature. We reach the histor through a forest. Luccaburg, rather the remains of a medieval hilltop castle, which can still be seen today as a mighty, round mound of earth. Then we cycle on to the Cistercian monastery of Loccum, founded in 1163. From 1593, the abbot, prior and convent adopted the Lutheran Augsburg Confession and Loccum became an Evangelical Lutheran, former Cistercian monastery. Today the monastery houses the only seminary of the Hanover Regional Church for all Protestant regional churches in Lower Saxony and Bremen. We continue cycling through the field along the Dino route to Düsseldorf. We soon reach Rehburg, where we see a stork's nest. Now we're off to NSG Meerbruchswiesen. There is a lot to observe and photograph.🫣 From the Wintzlar Tower we can see the island of Wilhelmsburg across the Steinhuder Meer. After a rest we drive back to the starting point.
