A varied and multifaceted tour along the Green Belt, to Spahl and Ketten: A great, sporty circular tour along the Kolonnenweg (colonel path), through forests and fields; largely along the "Green Belt Thuringia" hiking trail and the Castle and Palace Trail (red arrow); fantastic views from the Rößberg, as well as further views of the surrounding mountains and distant vistas of the Thuringian and Hessian Rhön Mountains (including Bieberstein Castle); largely paved, well-maintained (farm) paths; well-signposted; several rest stops; several entry points (including Bildtanne near Ketten); tour also possible in the opposite direction
