Today's little hiking tour took us to Hammelburg (near Bad Kissingen). First we went up to the monastery and the music academy and from there up a mighty steep staircase to Saaleck Castle. Unfortunately, the restaurant in the castle closed its doors a few years ago.

Car park at the Altstadt monastery (unfortunately only open Monday to Friday), climb the stairs to Saaleck Castle with a walkable tower (wonderful view of Hammelburg)! After a short stretch of forest you arrive at the castle vineyard, followed by beautiful viewpoints and rest areas🤩
