Along beautiful field and meadow paths you climb steadily towards Westerberg, through the vineyards with wonderful views of the autumnal vine leaves. 🍂🍇
If the Hiwwel ruff works, so does the Hiwwel widder runner. ⛰️
On the way back into the valley past many horse paddocks, the Selzbach accompanies you back to your destination.

Very nice Hiwweltour with a moderate incline in the Seltz Valley. As always well signposted.👍
There was more forest and above all much more sun than expected 🌞🌞🌞

At the end there was a nice glass of wine and a delicious snack in the Eulenmühle - what more could you ask for 😁

Today, when the weather was pretty nice, we went to the other side of the Rhine to Rheinhessen to run the Hiwweltour Westerberg again.
It was a bit muddy, but we really liked the beautiful landscape and the tour guide.
Have a nice weekend 🙋🏼‍♂️

Großwinternheim, belonging to Ingelheim am Rhein with almost 1500 inhabitants, was the residence of many nobles in the Middle Ages. However, the name comes from the Germanic period, when the local area was a large winter camp for many tribes.

Meeting point "Eulenmühlchen" at the Selzbach in Großwinternheim for the afternoon walk 🦮.
There the Hiwweltour Westerberg passes.
Selz, meadows, wine, Westerhaus Castle and historic ravines - a beautiful and varied round has resulted. Human and dog happy. 🤩

Last night we decided to do the Hiwweltour Westerberg (we're still missing a few - the ones we did can be found at komoot.com/de-de/collection/1065604/-hiwweltouren-vitaltouren). Shortly before going to bed we sent @Veronika 2020 a message because she doesn't live far away. We spontaneously agreed to do the tour together this morning. Most Hiwweltouren aren't very spectacular. Today we mainly went …

Since rain was reported for 2:00 p.m., we hurried today and ran the Hiwweltour Westerberg. We started at the parking lot at the cemetery in Schwabenheim and then went counterclockwise on the well-signposted route. In a light drizzle we went past the Vinomat from the Schuck winery along the Selz to the Eulenmühle. Continue to Westerhaus Castle and via the …

A relaxed walk in less than three hours through the Selztal. We started at the Groß-Winternheim sports field and then walked towards Schwabenheim. On the way you could enjoy well-chilled wine and secco twice, which was provided for self-service by wineries. The tour is not particularly strenuous and
