This route was planned by komoot.
After a very late ferry crossing we reached our next destination yesterday in the dark: a 500 year old house in the New Forest, southern England. Now there is neither much forest nor is anything new here, so the name is deceptive 😜. The national park is famous for its free-roaming horses, donkeys and cows - and in autumn, pigs are also let loose. For drivers and cyclists that means be careful, hikers on the other hand are happy. - For the 1st walk, we chose a tour highly recommended by Komoot, which goes through the forest and promised great wildlife sightings. We weren't that lucky after all. A fussy deer and it didn't even want to raise its head 😩 But the natural forest was very, very beautiful.
