Actually a wonderful Allgäu tour, just as it is in the book, or should be. Actually. But this special version, which I have from a Kommot collection with the title "The 20 most beautiful road bike tours in the Allgäu", must have been manipulated by local jokers who then regularly look at the clueless people on the climb from Hüttenberg to the front of Hüttenberg and laugh at how the brave road cyclists have serious problems just pushing their bikes with their cycling shoes 😱 Of course I saw that when I was planning it, but I didn't look too closely because it is a designated road bike tour. But looking back, I calculate a 16% gradient from the GPX data, but not the maximum, but on average over 1.5km. Sure, there are people who manage that, but I think they no longer do it in their free time, but rather as their main job. So for all those who follow, skip that part. Just drive along the Iller to Altmummen and have more fun. But no matter, I didn't let that spoil my fun and afterwards you can see the Allgäu from many attractive sides on the tour and have a really good time!

The tour is really great, but next time I will skip the section from Hüttenberg to the front of Hüttenberg. It is 1.5 km with an average gradient of 16%. There are only a few people who can do that on a racing bike, and I am certainly not one of them. Next time I will either go via Biehlerdorf to Gunzesried
