The view from the window on my day off, oops, rain ☔️ So, I went for a leisurely hike. I took the route today from Komoot's suggestions. It was great. It was also nice to run where I usually cycle. And now I've had my fill of hiking. Now it's time to cycle again. 🫠
The start of the signposted “Wine Reading Trail” is the beautiful old town of Marbach with many half-timbered houses worth seeing. We hike through vineyards, orchards, fields, with great views of the Bottwartal. From Steinheim we follow the Murr. Further into the Neckar valley, and with panoramic views through the vineyards, back to Benningen. February 5, 2024, http://lisa-unterwegs.de/marbach-am-neckar-wein-lese-weg-an-neckar-und-murr/
This "golden autumn day" 🌞🍂🍁 couldn't be left unused, so we went out to the Neckar. I was a bit disappointed with the tour itself, because the "wine-reading path" didn't really live up to its name. 😕 Only the first 2 1/2 km we went through magnificent vineyards, which thanks to today's sunshine were wonderfully "staged" (illuminated), after that it was an "ordinary hiking trail" which - admittedly - was very "nice" to walk ... 🤷🏻♀️ We finally "rewarded" ourselves for the almost 12km long tour with a scoop and the obligatory Maultäschle with potato salad (I'll become a real Swabian !! 😁) in Geiger's Besenwirtschaft in Poppenweiler. Perfect! 👌🏻👍🏻😃
This tour is from a Komoot collection that I have adapted so that I walk through the beautiful old town of Marbach and along the more beautiful banks of the Murr. It starts at Benningen train station (parking only 2 hours on weekdays !, a little further is a parking garage, I don't know the costs) Nice views, nice paths (a lot of asphalt, which was good today because the field and meadow paths were very muddy). https://youtu.be/l2ZrJdmnHIw
Today I was on the wine harvest trail near Marbach am Neckar😎 Steinheim an der Murr was on the trail, as was Benningen, and it went along the Murr and the Neckar🥾 A delicious beer garden🍺 and dinner in a really good Turkish restaurant round off the tour in a delicious way 🤩
