Arrived in Tenerife, the sun is shining, the sea is sparkling. First we arrive near the airport to sort ourselves. This tour is my first little trip through the Malpais de la Rasca protected area.

The tour begins in Palm Mar, but the journey into the archaeological volcanic landscape is also worthwhile from El Fraile or Las Galletas. Rugged rocks and mighty cacti characterize the picture here.

Numerous gravel routes lead through the area, which are quite stony, but can still be mastered with a gravel bike. You can also let off steam here on a mountain bike. With a touring bike, I would advise against the route.

A lighthouse is waiting for you at the extreme tip, where you can connect your bike to hop into the water. Directly behind the lighthouse you will find small pools of water in the rock, which are a real insider tip.
