This easy circular hike for the whole family starts at the village square in Kappl. From there you walk to the valley station of the cable car, then cross the Paznauntalstraße and the Trisanna and then start the climb. A curved forest path takes you to the Rotweg chapel, which is secluded high above Kappl. You can take a break on the bench in front of the chapel and enjoy the panoramic view.
The route continues slightly downhill to the Visnitz waterfall, which plunges about 30 meters into the depths here. The stop at the viewing platform is an experience for all the senses: the masses of water thunder loudly down and leave a wet spray on your clothes. From the waterfall, you go down to the Visnitzbach, which you cross, and then you walk along the Trisanna. In Wiese, you change the river bank and then walk back to Kappl on a side road.
