Actually it should be a longer tour, unfortunately it poured out of buckets
As the title suggests, this is a small group that was designed to be very informative and appealing. Starting with information boards, wooden figures you can touch (mushrooms, tree hollows, etc.) to a lot of information with loudspeakers to a wilderness path over fallen trees and thoughtful statements by some that show how important forests and primeval forests are for us humans. There really is something for every generation and everyone can have fun if they are interested in the beautiful, self-generating nature. The tour is only a good 1.6 km long from the parking lot and there are nice seating areas everywhere to relax in order to enjoy the peace and quiet in nature while lingering (if not too many are there and screaming through the whole forest and disturbing the peace and quiet 😉). A really very recommendable short hiking trail. There is also the possibility of enjoying the very beautiful view from the Hirschley, which is not too far away.
We did the Wilder Weg together with a tour to the Urfttalsperre. But because we thought the Wild Path itself was so great, I saved this part of our tour separately. This forest nature trail is second to none. The wooden footbridge, over which you walk slightly elevated through the forest, is an attraction in itself. But along the way you are introduced to the connections and facts of the forest in visual and acoustic texts. Every sentence is exciting. For me the path could have been twice as long, but as it is, it is probably still enjoyable for children.
The wild Kermeter in the Eifel National Park. It is a completely barrier-free circular route, where you can also get lots of information. About halfway along the route, the little ones also get their money's worth with climbing sections.
Hello everyone 🙂 Today I was on a very wild path. No, on the contrary, the Nature Adventure Trail is completely barrier-free and therefore suitable for all ages. Great explanations about woodpecker species, mushrooms, and much more can be heard at the various stations. There's also a small obstacle course for younger guests where they can test their balance and dexterity. Here's a link to the official website: https://www.nationalpark-eifel.de/de/nationalpark-erleben/barrierefrei-unterwegs/wilder-kermeter-und-wilder-weg/der-wilde-weg/ I hope you enjoy it 😃
A nice adventure trail for all ages. The climbing course, in particular, is simply fun. 🙂
After checking into the hotel room, we went to the Eifel National Park. I drove to the Kermeter car park and explored the Wilder Weg. I was able to enjoy the peace and quiet and take in the national park. On Saturday, we'll be hiking the Wilder Weg again for a good cause. Unfortunately, the forest is still very dry.
