Wonderful, very special landscape, unique, little developed
After our hut-hopping hike in the Virgental Valley, we finished our day at the beautiful Weissensee. A very beautiful spot if you're there outside of peak season. The overnight stay at the Glautschhof organic farm was 👍
Caution: Parking on the east bank is subject to a fee. The license plates of arriving cars are recorded. If you drive away without paying, it costs €80 plus the normal parking fee. Only the data protection officer in Austria knows how long the stored license plates are kept.
Lake Weissensee is a true gem! We're drawn here again and again; it's simply impossible to do without countless photo stops. Today's highlights: swimming, the water temperature was around 20 degrees Celsius, a dream, and then we even got to observe a family of great crested grebes, including feeding their two young birds! 🤩
Today a little hike at the Weissensee in Carinthia. The lake already has a Caribbean flair with its turquoise water 🏝 and its white beach 🏖. And then these mountains 🏞 all around, just gorgeous.
