Hiking

Admittedly, the destination of this hike - the Vorderhornbacher "local mountain" Baichlstein - is not very high at 1,164 meters, but still offers you a wonderful view of the Lechzopf. And so this tour is the perfect choice for all those who are looking for their happiness on the summit but are not (yet) confident about demanding mountain tours.

The starting point of your tour can be reached either with your own car or by bus. From the Badino natural swimming pool you hike through Vorderhornbach and from there uphill through the forest and over open mountain meadows. After a little more than three and a half kilometers, the path to Baichlstein turns right, which you reach after a short, final ascent. Up there is also a Porta Alpinae installation by the Allgäu artist Guenter Rauch. The doors are located in particularly striking locations throughout the Alpine region. This door should open the view to the Lechzopf and remind with its construction of the old Tyrolean building culture.

After enjoying the view from the summit during an extensive break, you can start the descent again. First you follow the same path back and then turn right at the Moos intersection. In an arc you walk around the Baichlstein again and then along the Lech back to your starting point. If you want, you can then refresh yourself with a cool swim in the natural swimming pool.
