Hiking
This appealing circular hike takes you directly to the Dresdner Heide, which is criss-crossed by narrow paths and small streams. You hike mainly through slightly hilly mixed forest with some sandy slopes and occasionally through notches and reasons that were caused by the permanent impact of flowing water.
The hike starts in Bühlau, one of the eastern districts of Dresden, and after barely half a kilometer you dive into the forest. Your first stopover is the tranquil Haarweidenstausee with its beautiful picnic area on the shore. If you like, you can take a little break here, because it's a wonderful place to stay.
It continues to Prießnitz. It meanders leisurely through the Dresdner Heide and you follow its course to the Heidemühle restaurant on Radeberger Landstraße. The water mill was built in 1841 as a grinding, cutting and board mill and in 1843 a restaurant was added. Depending on the season, the opening times can be somewhat restricted, so you should have a small picnic with you just in case.
Passing the grounds of the Bühlau forest hut, it then goes through the beautiful forest back to the starting point.

This route was planned by komoot.
Today I did our quarterly Friday afternoon round with Nils Hentschel. We went to the Dresdner Heide to the Haarweidenstausee and then on to the Heidemühle and back again. The starting point and destination was Dresden-Bühlau, Ullersdorfer Platz. It was a very nice tour, the weather held up too, no rain, it only started to sneeze almost at the destination. I would like to thank Nils again for the great time and I am already looking forward to the next time in January. 🤠🤠🥾🥾🍀🍀
New Year's hike in spring-like temperatures. Probably the most beautiful section of the route is along the Prießnitz. Otherwise, only after the Heidemühle are some beautiful forest paths parallel to the otherwise predominantly wide forest highways.
Today we were going to go hiking ❣️ My husband had the idea and we girls set off. 😉 We wanted to meet in Dresden Bühlau, I parked on Oybiner Straße. Then we went to the Dresden Heath 🥰 It was a dream ❤️ Winter weather at its finest and wonderful, clear air ❣️ There's nothing to add, simply brilliant 💕 Thank you for the lovely day 😘 This time I only added collages at home because I don't like the quality of the pictures on komoot at the moment. Best wishes and have a lovely Sunday 🌄🥰
Comfortable round through the Dresdner Heide. Starting and ending point is Bühlau. It goes past the Haarweidenstausee where some benches invite you to rest. We continue through the Prießnitz valley and soon reach the Heidemühle. Then it's back to Bühlau.
Today was another outing with our girls' group and this time our men were allowed to come along too. This tour of the Dresdner Heide working group was drawn from the lottery and so I was in charge today. However, the tour is very grateful for the branches and routes and so I had plenty of time to chat. The original starting point is at Ullendorfer Platz and since everyone was coming from different directions, we met at the Bühlau forester's house. Highly motivated, we headed towards the Haarweiden reservoir via the night wing. The Verkehrter Anker and Verkehrte Gabel paths led through a beautiful, sun-drenched forest. Soon the reservoir glittered through the trees and gradually all the groups arrived at a group of benches on the shore of the lake. After a short discussion, we unpacked all our treats from the depths of our backpacks and enjoyed an early lunch. Well fortified, we then followed the loop of the Verkehrter Anker to the Weißiger Weg. This soon led us to the intersection with the Alte 1 and the Prießnitztalweg. Here we took the Neuer Weg, which ran parallel to the Prießnitztalweg and eventually merged into it. We strolled along the wide forest path to the Heidemühle, where we were greeted by a lively afternoon crowd. We also enjoyed a drink and an ice cream and simply enjoyed the sun. From the Heidemühle, wide hiking trails led back to Bühlau. The HB-Weg merged into the HG-Weg and finally into the Zweienweg. The section of the Zweienweg at the Rehwiese was particularly beautiful. We soon reached the starting point of the hike and after a final chat we said goodbye in the late afternoon. This round was beautiful! https://www.komoot.com/de-de/collection/2476092/-akdh-touren-des-arbeitskreises-dresdner-heide
A round trip through the Dresden Heath, the weather was still quite good for the end of November, mostly wide (cycle) paths, no inclines. And even - I wouldn't have thought it at this time of year - 2 snack bars open, halfway along the route.
It was a very slippery affair but it went very well. At one point the clock showed 5.7 km/h. The last 1.5 km were really slippery and I was a bit out of breath.👍
This fine round trip by the Dresden Heath working group led us under shady trees in summer temperatures. The start was as usual at the Heidemühle, from where the Dreibörnerweg quickly led us to the Zweienweg. A small detour to the cut cross-six was obligatory. The brisk walk slowly turned into a stroll, as the first raspberries beckoned us along the side of the path and we also had to try out the Himalayan balsam. The Zweienweg led us along the impressive chestnut avenue to the Nachtflügel. On familiar paths we finally reached the Haarweidenstausee, which invited us to linger. We then went over the wrong fork to the Neuer Weg on the Prießnitz. Here my mushroom expert was already practicing for the coming season. The round trip at the Heidemühle was soon over and we had another lovely day in the heath! https://www.komoot.com/de-de/collection/2476092/-akdh-touren-des-arbeitskreises-dresdner-heide
