This route was planned by komoot.
Great and relaxed round that is wonderfully suitable for families. Start and finish are in Hochfügen. We walked two hours, the route is given as 3 hours. It's enough for a relaxing break with a view of the valley.
A short but beautiful walk over the Holzalm, Viertelalm, Pfundsalm and Lamarkalm
Today it was up and up to Hochfügen. There 4 pastures were waiting for us to be hiked. The tip for the round came in the classic way from a hiking map that was available in our hotel reception. There the tour was listed as an easy hike. For us lowland Tyroleans it was rather moderately difficult, just like komoot thought after the planning. After a short and steep ascent over a gravel path, the first Alm (Holzalm) was reached. From there we went on beautiful forest and meadow paths, over streams and through a beautiful coniferous forest section a little further up to the Viertelalm, where some goats were waiting for us. From there it went downhill again, namely via a serpentine trail across open terrain. Arrived at the bottom then along a small river before it went uphill again to the 3rd Alm (Pfundsalm)....
To stop off at the Aar-Wirt, we recommend walking the circuit the other way around.
Today we went on our first holiday lap in the Zillertal in fantastic weather. Green meadows full of flowers, lots of water and of course beautiful mountain views characterized this round. It can go on like this... 😊
