This route was planned by komoot.
Early in the morning on Friday the 27th, it was still dark outside and we set out, first towards the Bremerhaven clinic, then drove through the Ahnthammsmoor. Driving was not possible though, the whole way was completely soaked and so it was one big mud and slippery ride, but we were rewarded with what I thought was the best photo opportunity of the year (unfortunately it was a bit dark and only just started to light up, but it captured the mood really well). Then I came out at Bohmsiel through Wulsdorf behind Ikea, from where I continued down towards Luneplatte. Unfortunately the fog was so thick that a photo was not possible. We then continued south, further along the Luneplatte and past the storm surge lock and then back to Bremerhaven-Lehe.
Today, September 1st, 2021, I had a day off for a change and with the nice weather my inner voice told me to get on my bike and enjoy the good weather. I had already considered several tours and decided to do the nature circuit in Bremerhaven and the surrounding area. The length of the tour was between 34 and 35 km Section 1: Bremerhaven> Ueterlande: I started around 12:00 and I first went through the Bürgerpark where my smartwatch slipped off my arm, but thank God it found it again. Then it went over the Bremerhaven Bürgerrain, past Reinkenheide to the city limits of Schiffdorf with narrow paths to an industrial area. After I passed the adjoining industrial park, I took route 87, Poggenbruchstrasse, Kleinbahnweg (my favorite route because of the railway line), Hagener Weg, IKEA and the old Luneschleuse to Ueterlande. Section 2: Ueterlande> Bremerhaven From Ueterlande it went on to the dike and then straight back to Bremerhaven, straight back home. The lack of signage and poor navigation of the navigation system easily led me astray. Still, I made it back home and partly drove my own way. You are welcome to follow me and I hope you enjoy watching.
A beautiful route through the harbor on the dike and the neighboring district of Cuxhaven, really lots of nature and good cycle paths.
After 3 months without a bike, we finally set off again. The weather map had predicted a light breeze, the North German would say it was a bushy wind. It was enough for me, with a "normal" bike (I felt like I was the only one) and a broken arm, I was also knocked out. We didn't know that there were such beautiful and green corners in Bremerhaven. We liked it, only the long stretch on the road between km 28 and 30 was only very limited for cyclists. The detour to the fishing port showcase is not actually part of the tour, but driving to Bremerhaven without eating fish is simply not possible.
A beautiful tour through the Luneplate and the Bürgerpark Bremerhaven.
Beautiful Bremerhaven nature round in the Luneplate with a culinary detour to the fishing port 🐟🦐😋 https://www.bremen.de/leben-in-bremen/ Fahrradstadt-bremen/natur-runde-bremerhaven
