Hiking
The Pihapper is the Mittersiller's local mountain. But the 2,513 meter high giant can also be hiked from Hollersbach. And in a particularly idyllic and varied way. But see for yourself!
The tour starts at the Berghof in Hollersbach. Hollersbach itself can be easily reached with the Pinzgauer local train…

2 summit crosses on one tour. Started early in the morning with breakfast at the Platter, view of Mittersill and the Pihapper. Over stone fields and directly over the mountain ridge over several grades with small climbing passages along slopes. With ropes and a ladder up to the summit of the Pihapper for lunch. Great view of the Wilder Kaiser, Groß Venice, Großglockner, ... valleys with lakes. Visiting the marmots...
Wonderful ascent to the summit with a varied variety of nature and views. The ascent began at the Berghof in Hollersbach. From there on signposted paths directly to the summit. The first third ran through a forest to the Pölsneralm, then it went over a ridge to the Plugsberg pre-summit, from there to the 2513m high Pihapper summit. It went back the same way with a detour over the plate. The tour is very physically demanding, has some climbing passages and level hikes on board. But on the summit you will be rewarded with a sensational view of the 2 highest mountains in Austria.
