Green is the predominant color on this easy-to-walk tour. The name of the circular hike says it all: It is a combination of the Wetter river and the floodplain landscape that stretches between Lich and the Nieder-Bessingen district.
The tour begins at the car park on country road 3481. A natural paradise with a lush flora and fauna awaits you. The wetland has quiet waters, flower-filled meadows and ponds. Explore the nature reserve, which is also popularly known as "Wirtswiesen". It's best to bring some time with you to observe and take photos.
The view of the old town of Lich offers a beautiful contrast. You can see the town tower, the town's landmark, from afar. Then you dive into the shady forest. Next are the Bürgerseen, on whose banks you can spread out your picnic and fortify yourself before heading back to the starting point of the hike.
