From the Kaltenbacher Hütte (parking lot) on a direct, sometimes a little steeper path to the summit of the Gedrecht. On the way back we take the path on the other side over alpine meadows in the direction of Hochalm and from here on the supply path back to the starting point.
After some time in the huge playground, we started the tour at the Kaltenbacher Ski Hut, which is located on the panoramic Zillertaler Höhenstraße. It goes along beautiful paths up the mountain to the Arbiskopf. At the summit cross we were able to enjoy the wonderful view again. Then came what was probably the most exciting part of the trail for the children, with two short rope-secured climbing areas. The further ascent to the Gedrechter leads above the tree line up along ski slopes. All in all, you can't overlook the fact that you are in the middle of the ski area. The brilliant view of the surrounding mountains makes up for this. After an entry in the summit book on the Gedrechter and a snack, we started our descent. This leads along a path down the mountain until we ended up on a gravel work road for the lifts and followed it. It then ended at a lift and we followed another wonderful, sometimes very muddy path to the Hochalm.
A long-held wish has come true - a short vacation with the now grown-up kids 👧🧒👦 in the mountains ⛰️. Today we went on beautiful hiking trails and paths, but also partially on forest paths, to the 2217 m high Gedrechter summit with a 360 degree panoramic view. Easy to walk with a rewarding view. Approach via the Zillertaler Höhenstrasse to Murmelland at 1750 m and with a lot of 🗣️ and 🤣 to the Hochalm and then ascent to the Gedrechter.
Summit climbers in marmot country That was the name of our hike 🥾🥾yesterday. We wanted to climb a summit cross before heading home. So we took the Zillertal high road with an unbelievably great view up to marmot country and from there climbed up to the "Gedrechter". The Gedrechter is a 2,217 meter high mountain in the Tux Alps. We went through valleys, around mountains, up through snow fields, over ski slopes up to the summit cross. It was exhausting, very exhausting, but the reward with such views made up for it completely. It was wonderful, wonderful.
