Enjoyable tour at the foot of the Hintertux Glacier. From the Sommerbergalm mountain station, first go uphill to the right. Then a mountain path branches off to the left towards Kasererscharte. Continue up to the gap on flowering mountain slopes. On a rope-secured path (short passage) to the Frauenwand and half an hour to the Tuxerjochhaus. You hike comfortably through the Weitental, past the Schleierwasserfall, down to Hintertux. Very nice tour in the best weather ☀️😃
Today another hike with hiking guide Franz. Our hike was accordingly slow, but with a lot of fun and lots of interesting facts about flora and fauna. So today we saw golden eagles and marmots, gentians and edelweiss and lots of mountain peaks. We started with the cable car at 2100 m altitude on the Sommerberg. First it went to the Kaserer Scharte. From there over a ridge secured by ropes to the Frauenwand at an altitude of 2541 m. Then continue to the neighboring summit White Wall. The descent was via the Tuxer Joch to the Tuxerjochhaus, where we strengthened ourselves briefly with a fantastic view of the glacier. The descent to Hintertux took place over the Weitental past many waterfalls. This hike was one of the most beautiful so far. Here is the Relive video: https://www.relive.cc/view/vZqNY77R936
All in all, a great tour with a great outlook and vision. The Kasererscharte in particular offers an absolute wow experience! The Frauenwand is in no way inferior. The Weißewand focuses on the Olperer and the Gefrorene Wand peaks. However, the view of the glacier massif makes you a little sad, as it is only a pitiful remnant of a once mighty ice field. Melting and the excessive exploitation through year-round skiing have left visible traces. A wonderful and knee-friendly descent through the Weitental down to Hintertux is a wonderful conclusion.
Very nice circular tour with 2 peaks and 3 rest stops. Let's take the gondola from Tux up to the Sommerbergalm. From there walk the path to the Scharte and to the summit of the Frauenwand and summit of the Weißen Wand. Then descent to the Tuxer Joch Haus (serviced). Then descent through the Weitental to the Schleier waterfall. Then over to the Bichlalm and back to the valley station in Tux.
Today we went on a very nice hike on the Hintertux Glacier 😍 We took the Gletscherbahn up to the Sommerbergalm. Then we went to the Tuxer Joch house (unfortunately it was closed). Then we took the path towards Frauenwand. But first we are up to the White Wall. Here you really have a gigantic view in all directions. There is also a really great summit cross up there. Then we went to the women's wall. Also great views. Then descent to the Tuxerjoch at the reservoir. From there we walked back to the Tuxer Joch house. Then we continued in the direction of Weitental. Very impressive panorama. Above all, keep your eyes open.. we saw a lot of marmots and also chamois 😍 Then we reached the breathtaking Schleier Waterfall. Just beautiful! We then descended through the forest to Hintertux to the valley station of the cable car and strengthened ourselves in the Hohenhaus Tenne.
Unfortunately, my recording ended at the Schleierwasserfall. However, we continued hiking to the Bichlalm and from there to the valley station of the glacier cable car = plus 4.2 km and 390 meters of descent.
