We think the lady at the cashier at the thermal baths in Bad Rothenfelde wrinkled her nose a bit! On the way back to Münster, we stopped off to revitalize our tired bones with a brine bath. Of course, after the hike, we were completely sweaty, standing there to pay our entrance fee 😤😂! We discovered the Sachsenring hike around Bad Driburg on the Teutoburg Forest website! You can walk the tour, but it's not necessary! The route offers occasional glimpses of the landscape, but mostly just a long forest bath. In some sections, despite the green paths, the noise from cars and motorcycles on nearby roads was disturbing when you'd actually like to listen to the birds chirping! Nevertheless, we certainly enjoyed our time together; the stop at the Sachsenklause inn exactly halfway along the route was great! We wish you a nice weekend, a good time and above all good health 🖖!
Peace be with you - Assalamu Aleikum dear hiking community Alhamdulillah - All praise is due to Allah Today's Bad Driburg hike was varied. You have small streams, you have beautiful views of Bad Driburg and the Teutoburg Forest, you have easy and moderately difficult climbs, and at the same time you hike through the beautiful forest. Finally, you can still see pastures with cows, horses and deer. The pure hiking time was about 4 hours, although I paused every time I took a break, there are numerous benches to rest! I can unreservedly recommend Bad Driburg and the surrounding area as a hiking location, the spa town didn't get the name "Bad" for nothing :) Warm greetings WanderMuslim

This is my second time here. But in the opposite direction 😊. A great tour with lots to see: Iburg ruins, Kaiser Karl Tower, Mausoleum, Botanical Garden, Marienkapelle and beautiful forests all around.
Today it was all about the spa town of Bad Driburg. The view from the Sachsenklause is simply magnificent. On the way I met a fellow rehabilitator 😂 the poor man ended up walking the whole way and invited me for a piece of Sachertorte and a coffee (Gerd, if you happen to read this, thanks again for that!).
Despite the fog, a lovely walk around Bad Driburg.
The scenic hike leads primarily along forest paths through beech forests around Bad Driburg, with detours to the Iburg Castle ruins and the Kaiser Karl Tower. Unfortunately, the signage was patchy.
A very nice circular tour around Bad Driburg. The Sachsenklause is a great place to stop for a break. Great views and lots of greenery 🥰🌳🥾🏰
