Hiking
The hiking trail meanders calmly from Scheffau to the Kaiser-Hochalm at 1,400 meters. If you want to shorten the tour a little, you can skip the detour that leads from the round tour to the Hochalm and instead enjoy the ten-kilometer tour.
In both cases, Scheffau is the starting point and destination of this hike through the beautiful mountains of the Wilder Kaiser. The first section of the route leads calmly through the green landscape of the Kaiser Mountains. You pass the Jägerwirt and the great stretch of the Wegscheid Niederalm. Then the path becomes steeper and it goes up to the Kaiser-Hochalm. Alternatively, you can skip the ascent at this point and follow the path at the Vorderschiessling Alm straight ahead.
Shortly after the Alm you will reach the Sailabodenkreuz, from which you have a great view. Now it goes steadily downhill until you stand in the middle of the Rehbachklamm and continue your way back to Scheffau in the natural landscape.
If you don't have your accommodation in Scheffau, then you can easily reach the place with the KaiserJet from nearby places.

This route was planned by komoot.
Today I was traveling alone. It was exhausting, but the paths and views were very nice. There were refreshment stops and luckily there were also some shady forest sections Wald
