Highlight • Mountain Hut

A wonderful green patch of earth, where you wouldn't be surprised if Heidi danced down the lush green meadows somewhere.

Talschluss Chapel

Highlight • Religious Site

Small chapel at the head of the valley right next to the large water playground, a paradise for children. Highly frequented by the Talschlusshütte and large suspension bridge with treetop path. Still highly recommended with children.

June 4, 2025,🇦🇹 ⛰️ Auf dem Glemmtaler Talschluss-Höhenwanderweg über die Golden Gate Bridge 🌉 zum Baumzipfelweg 🧙🌲 - Tag 6A

As an unofficial treetop, treetop, and canopy trail tester 🦺🌲 (the older ones among you will remember 😉), it was time to get back to work and take a closer look at the Alpine version 🧐. With the "test location" located at the beautiful end of the Glemmtal valley near Saalbach-Hinterglemm, a suspension bridge 🌉 🤩 even included, and a …

The hike starts at the parking lot in Lengau and runs slightly uphill in the valley to the Baumzipfelweg and the Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps. It is 200 meters long and 42 meters high. Walking on the bridge is a pleasure for all those who like things to move. On the other side begins the highest treetop path …

After the break in the rain, we set off on a hike that was at the top of our to-walk list ;)

In Lengau, we start straight uphill and soon come to a beautiful, rooty, stony path with magnificent views. How convenient that the weather is actually "bad" today, but still nice and warm. We even see wild horses again.

Please visit all Helga at the Forsthofalm! She is doing a great job there! She manages the alp without electricity and cooks delicious dishes on a charcoal stove. She also processes some of the milk from the cows herself. Really recommendable 👍🏻😋

The weather meant well again today and the 🌞 seemed merciless. We set off and took the hiking bus to Lengau. From here it went steadily uphill to the Forsthofalm. Often thought on the way, why am I doing something like this to myself 😰. But when we got to the top, we were compensated. We were on a very …

The Talschlusshöhenrunde is one of several highlights for us ⛰️ when we're in Hinterglemm. The many small and slightly larger streams and waterfalls (from the second half onwards), the incredible view all the way to Hinterglemm, and of course, the pristine 300-year-old Forsthofalm with its delicious Kaiserschmarrn. 😋
There's no electricity here, and you feel like you're in Heidi's house. …
