Superb tour!!! From St. Johann it was quite relaxed and went to Oberndorf and from there it climbed steadily to Going. On the way you pass the grounds of an archery club, which has also set up a barbecue area with self-service supplies for the public. With beautiful views you pass Ellmau and Scheffau and then reach the Inn bridge, from where you have your first view of the fortress. The panorama of the town of Kufstein accompanies you until you cross the Inn again. Via Ebbs you can see the beautiful Walchsee just behind Durchholzen. From there via Kössen, Erpfendorf and Kirchdorf back to St. Johann i.T. Highly recommended tour, just save your battery! My e-bike's battery gave up 10 kilometers before the finish.
Start Walchsee at 9 a.m. Kössen, along the Grossache via Erpfendorf to Kirchdorf in Tirol, then on to St. Johann in Tirol (follow the new route, the old one is closed by the farmer, go back a bit) via Oberndorf in Tirol to Going Ellmau, Scheffau to Kufstein along the Inn promenade, nice restaurants to linger in. To Ebbs Wagrain/Mühltal towards Durchholzen Walchsee. The tour is also very well signposted. Very good gravel and tarmac cycle paths.
Many thanks to @Renate for the excellent, detailed planning of the tour around the Kaiser Mountains. You can find it online under "T2 Kaiser Runde." The mountain panorama is simply beautiful, and the route itself is varied, with village rides, wonderful bike paths along rivers, and climbs and rapid descents. The tour is fun, and the length and elevation gain are easily manageable on an e-bike. 😁👍👍👍
So, I'm taking you with me again and inviting you on a 90km loop around the Wilder Kaiser. Then there's a link to the video on YouTube. Have fun ☺️☺️☺️👍
The Kaiser cycle circuit of almost 90 kilometers is truly an imperial tour. We start in Going at the Bergdoktor via Ellmau to Scheffau and shortly before Söll we say goodbye to the Wilder Kaiser communities in the direction of Schwoich. Down in serpentines into the Inn Valley to the pearl of Tyrol in Kufstein. Along the Inn and finally right at the edge of the forest to Ebbs. After 45 kilometers we deserve a break on the south bank of Lake Walchsee. After an hour's rest and recharging your batteries, we finally head to Kössen. First in the forest and then always along the Großache we drive to Kirchdorf i. Tyrol. The last stage leads to St. Johann and via Oberndorf back to Going. The photos and the recording show us a wonderful imperial bike tour around the Wild and Tame Emperor. 🙋🏻♂️😉😍
In fantastic imperial weather ☀️ the emperors 👑 made the round 🚴 ♀️. Hammer tour that I really liked and that I will definitely do again. A variety of paths take you through a beautiful area 🌲⛰️🌊 and there's a lot to see 👀. The Motorik Park has now been completed in Kössen. ✅. Anyone who has gone through it a few times can take part in the Ninja Warrior competitions at any time, so definitely try it out, it's right on the track🤪👍. We stopped in 🍺🥘 in a totally quaint little restaurant shortly after Kufstein where the Kaiserbach flows into the Inn..
A dream tour today in dream weather ☀️ I left home at 6 a.m. and started at around 8 a.m. from the free Thurnbichl car park because thunderstorms were forecast for the afternoon. Once around the Kaiser Mountains. At the beginning it was nice and cool to cycle in the shade. After Kufstein I had sun, but with the wind it was still pleasant (except up the mountain 🥵😅) I was back at my destination shortly after 1 p.m.
