https://www.ich-geh-wandern.de/weiherbachtal-rundweg-heimatspuren-eifel "The Weiherbachtal circular trail in the Vulkaneifel does not have any major highlights, it is more suitable for coming down and being comfortable. The manageable length of around eight kilometers and the moderate ascents speak for it The landscape is free to roam, and places to take a break motivate people to pack up provisions and enjoy a picnic outdoors. Hikers do not have to make any great effort to find their way, as a sign with the title shows the way. Of course, free spirits are also welcome to deviate from the path and discover the area for themselves. The trip can also be extended in this way. Before you get there, however, you should get started: The intended start and end point are in Lutzerath at the tourist information. Public transport goes to the site if you don't have your own car. We want to leave the populated area quickly, so we move roughly north-east across meadows and fields. The Weiherbach is quickly reached, the course of which will accompany us for quite a while. The associated valley is just as tranquil and merges into a forest area. The slope is steadily downhill. At least up to the Erdenbach, which crosses our previous companion. He is surrounded by a valley and now takes the lead (the Erdenbach is on the way to the Üßbach). While the thicket spreads around it, it "carries" a green stripe with it. It also places higher demands on us and begins a feasible but longer ascent. This continues out of the forest into an open area, the Erdenbach has already moved on other ways. Instead, an attractive panorama soon opens up that invites you to spread out a picnic - as long as there is anything left of the food you brought with you. On the last section, the Weiherbach bids us farewell for the last time, and settlement is slowly gaining the upper hand again. Back at the starting point, several restaurants offer the opportunity to end the tour in a relaxed manner." Directions: Trierer Strasse car park, 56826 Lutzerath 50°07'41.4"N 7°00'22.5"E
Parking is possible opposite the tourist information. The circular route is not spectacular, well signposted, offers beautiful views and moderate ascents. The place is deserted quickly. It goes past mowed fields and meadows and slowly into the valley. A tranquil valley that merges into a forest. It is very pleasant to walk here. The Weiherbach is reached quickly and we continue to the Erdenbach. All around thicket and it goes slowly uphill through the forest area. On the subsequent open area there is a nice panorama. Lutzerath is slowly approaching again.
Starting point either parking lot at Tourist Info or 400m further on large public and free parking lot. Small round. Little claim, hardly any beautiful views. Only two benches found. At the beginning about 3 km asphalt through fields and the village. Then in the forest. Easy tour. No knowing required.
