The Steinberg circuit in early summer is simply fantastic. It is best to drive them clockwise.
A really nice relaxed tour, and there was also a lot to see.
The tour often leads near federal highways, but always on bike paths. Separate paths are only missing on small side streets, but that doesn't bother us. The imposing landscape makes up for everything! The tour is always nice. Recommended clockwise from Lofer.
In fantastic conditions I completed my favourite round, the "Loferer Steinberge round", starting from Waidring via Pillersee, Hochfilzen, Leogang, Diesbach power station, Lamprechtshöhle, St. Martin, Pass Strub fortress, with a final stop and good hospitality at the Schneidermann inn. A truly beautiful "pensioner's day" thus comes to a sunny end 🌞🍻🇦🇹

Beautiful tour. A lot along the water. Always a great view of the mountains and a wonderful landscape with lush green meadows, crossed by yellow dandelions. 🅿️ in the free parking lot in Lofer.
Very nice 🚴 ♀️ tour from Lofer to Waidring, then on to Pillersee 🌊 past Hochfilzen, Leogang, Lenzing, Hohlwegen and Weißbach back to Lofer. Mostly on well signposted ⬆️➡️ and marked bike paths. It is also interesting that there are 24 different sculptures 🗿🗽 along the route. A project that was carried out by children and young people with the help of international artists.
We started at the car park in Waidring. The tour is simply amazing!!!! Only bike paths and back roads and always something to see😍
