Rundwanderweg LT 24: Rund ums Vorbachtal – Tagestouren Liebliches Taubertal

Started in Niederstetten - Beautiful little medieval town... But the 21st century has arrived in the form of QR codes at all interesting places. Entertaining. Then through beautiful nature on a high trail above Wermutshausen - "Even the poet Eduard Mörike felt at home in this place in 1843 and 1844." and back again in Vorbachzimmern. Especially in the Vorbachzimmern area, I "stumbled" upon the stone walls that often appear in this region... Stone walls formed by stones collected, especially in vineyards. You can see them quite well in the panoramic picture at KM 9.31..... These stone walls and the stacks of wood that are omnipresent in the forests characterize the region - And have fascinated me since I've been traveling with Brigitte in her home town.

Start: Niederstetten Bf Destination: Niederstetten Bf Length: 12 kilometers Altitude: 300 meters (something went wrong) Difficulty: Easy Nickname: Vorbachtal Directions: Today my random number generator sent me to Niederstetten to do the LT 24. I started at the train station in the city of 5,000 souls. Shortly thereafter I came to the beautiful cozy market square. It goes past the church and to the Vorbach. The eponymous river. You got a lot of water after the rains last week. The street Am alten Berg takes us out of town. It goes first on the slope then in the hinterland up the mountain to a horse club. Shortly after the hamlet we are at the highest point and have wide views. After 4 kilometers we reach the small town of Wermutshausen. Then it's easy up the mountain again. Flowers of all colors are blooming along the way. We soon reach Vorbachszimmern. We walk into the valley on Steinriegel. We cross the small part of the city and walk under the railway line. Here we gain altitude again on a gravel path. Once at the top, we hike again along the slope and look back into the valley and onto the other slope. Niederstetten will soon appear. Here, too, flowers are blooming along the way. The last 1.5 kilometers are just downhill through the forest. We cross the railway line one last time. And so ends the LT, which is currently in 3rd place in my ranking.
