The weather forecast had actually predicted fog in the valleys and sunshine at higher altitudes. But things turned out very differently in this part of the Alb: Sunshine up to the car park in Erkenbrechtsweiler! After that, only ground fog of varying intensity. But nevertheless: First, you go along beautiful forest paths over the Bassgeige to the Beurener Fels. View: 0. This doesn't change at the other numerous viewpoints on the Albtrauf. From there, it's a steep and sometimes slightly slippery descent until just before Beuren. Continue through the forest until it goes steeply up again. On the edge of Erkenbrechtsweiler, you pass a very interesting replica of a Celtic pincer gate. Also close to the car park is the very interesting Celtic Museum, which only recently opened. Conclusion: definitely do it again when the weather is nice and the visibility is good.
Windy and muddy tour today. Thomas also had a bit of a hard time 😀 Unfortunately, the whole thing isn't captured on camera, I was too slow.
Indian Summer in the Swabian Alb 🍂 Autumn traditionally means family time with @WDB and Renate, who then come to the Stuttgart region for sightseeing. Since we've spent more time in the vineyards and at Solitude Castle in recent years, it was now time to say hello to the Alb, and Bassgeige was the closest thing to the Filder region. The views from the Trauffelsen were simply wow 😮🤩 a spectacular 180-degree view of the Alb foothills and the Filder region, over the Stuttgart TV tower to the horizon with the Löwenstein Mountains. And golden autumn sun everywhere 😎 Our guests were thrilled 👍👍👍
Made a training lap today for tomorrow's tour. It was exactly the right thing to do. The Bassgeige car park is in front of Erkenbrechtsweiler. With a few detours it goes from there to the Beurener Fels with a beautiful view. To make it a little strenuous, it goes down into the valley and back up to the Brucker Fels. From there back to the parking lot. Nice shady round that also goes in summer. 👍😀
A beautiful little hike in perfect weather and snow! Great viewpoints and lots of trails 😊🐶
Always nice to walk one of the high walkways.
